The 3.0 drivers also consistently cause a BSOD any time the controller is disabled or if you go to remove the device, and notably is a problem when installing AMD’s graphics drivers (they update a PCI root complex device which resets most devices on the system, including that USB controller). The USB 3.0 drivers notably break support with Oculus Rift CV1 sensors and have instability with the HMD, neither of which are an issue with the MS drivers. If I use that USB card again, I’d only stick with Microsoft drivers since they worked fine.ĪMD’s USB 3.0 and 3.1 drivers are super problematic.
